Search Engine Optimization/SEO for Online Women Entrepreneurs Part 3: Article submission and distribution
Article submission and distribution to article directories with high Alexa ranking and Google PageRank. Thanks to MarketingingDefined.com’s list…we’re ready to go.
1.) Submissions to article directories:
I’ve only submitted to before EzineArticles.com.
Read or listen to my endorsement here.
We’re doing the top 2 article directories on this list, and 2 article directories in my target market…at least to get us started.
2.) Distribute articles to editors list of websites, blogs, and magazines via email. I have at least a dozen new ones to share…they’re so empowering, I shake when I read them myself
3.) Of course all those new articles will be posted here on this website/blog.
[Updated: 3/10/07: A colleague just called me a “writing machine”, as I still find time to write these posts, prepare all the articles for the relaunch, and guest posts elsewhere.
I find it timely, to find Brian’s post: There’s Never Been a Better Time to Be a Business-Savvy Writer. He shares ” Some people have incredible business savvy, and are focused squarely on angles that make money. Other people are great at research and writing. If you’re one and not the other, find someone with the other skill set and partner up.”
Please be patient, as we unveil some interesting things on Thursday that caters to this statement exactly. ]
Another great discussion that I’ve been following about writing blog posts which I think is similar to writing articles is here at John Wesley’s Pick the Brain blog. Great brain-picker!
Why is article submission and distribution are a critical Search Engine Optimization/SEO technique?
Because you get multiple one-way links to your website/blog!!!
And, what’s critical of us doing it right now, one week before the relaunch is that all new articles remain on the main page of each directory as they come it. They have my website links, subscribe to my ezine and visit my blog to see, and read and eagerly await the relaunch themselves.
Oh…another important tip is: because I’ll be a new contributor to some of these directories usually there’s a review process for some…turn around time to post. As a Platinum Member at EzineArticles.com I get priority posting and that’s sweet. Learn how I got that status in one-hour flat and you can too here.
Pretty darn powerful technique, huh?
Then, again…its a powerful technique that should be kept up each and every week as well!

I gotta get better at writing then. Cause I suck!
Jenny,
I first got started submitting articles by going through recent posts, editing them (especially because my tone is different on the blog vs. as an “Expert Author”.
I was told when I first got started that we couldn’t use blogposts as articles directly for SEO reasons before…that was 2.5 years ago…and now every great blogger talks about writing “pillar articles” for their and submitting them to article directories.
This is much easier, as I can spend more time on one article, post and submit–all done.
Then, again…I’m a prolific writer I have over 120-mins. of tapes to be transcribed our articles I dictate throughout my days.
My next post will give you ideas how to help write articles faster…stay posted.
