Okay…I’m having a couple of *ruff* (bark, bark) days
And well, it’s time for some link-lovin’ Ponn-Style posting goin’ on…just so I can get some good vibes racing ’round my world to help me feel better–or at least focus on the “good stuff”!
1. My Brain Pain all around bites the big-one! *ruff–I told u!*
2. I soooo wanna get back online…since being on bed-rest for now the 3rd-week can cause any normal person (let alone a Type-A chick) kinda restless!
3. In all honesty, I’ve watched my traffic drop and linger around numbers that’s quite disappointing..for the first-time ever, my alexa ranking is “wavering” here & there, yes….my technorati have gone up
Well, and my RSS feeds and ezine subscriptions are all all-time high!
And, these latter-two, are much more important to the “health” of my online business for the long-run, meaning if I ever *had* to sell, it–these are the 2 numbers that means the most anyways…yeah, butT…
I guess it’s your way of saying, you’re just waiting ’round to hop back online once I’m back..right!?
I can only make this assumption…
My point: It all comes down to “quality” and not “quantity”– With a caveat: From You! [Or, me…in this example!]
It comes around to “my internet brand” and yours!
And, EmpowerWomenNow.com is “branded Ponn Sabra”!
While we’re both finding helpful views and thoughts; long-time guest posts are not for us.
The problem is: Yes, I’m *not* up for work yet…so, please continue to be patient and welcome each guest blogger.
Another major thing holding me back…is, 10 days ago our laptop went to repair…hence, I can not sit at a PC for very long! I actually got more done with a laptop in bed.
Matt of The Article Writer wrote a very interesting post titled, “Guest Bloggers: Bounty or Bane?” You should definitely read this one word-for-word. Now, for me…my goal was always to “brand” this website/blog: Ponn Sabra. So, I fall in his category “You are an established blogger with a strong brand name”. I believe wholeheartedly that every single entrepreneur or small business owner should have at least one website/blog solely attached to your name-brand!
So, What’s Your Name-Brand-Blog & Why?
I want some thoughtful…I mean, *real* thoughtful comments/trackbacks to this question!
Here’s some spin-off questions to get you thinking:
- What makes your name brand stick to your blog?
- What IS your “name brand” to your blog? [Hey, some are Ms. ABC, or XYZ-dude]
- Why are YOU sooooo special? Okay…you know what I’m talking about “your unique selling proposition”, “your niche-clincher”?]
- Why do people (clients/colleagues/family and friends) love you? And, can’t wait til you come back?
- What’s a big diddley-whoop about your blog and you? [Here’s a “thoughtful” doozey of a question.
- For example: Good Girl: I sell curtain hangers and well, I know why everyone in the world needs them because they are convenient, safe, long-lasting, beautiful, etc. So, you took a non-interesting product and showed me why you, your name, your blog, your business, your existence matters!
- For example: Bad Boy: I sell envelope openers. You only need one. Buy the cheapest one from me…nice try! But, why? I love my envelope opener! I would buy one for everyone of my staff and family, because yours is so safe and comfortable to hold…with great safety measures, and nifty-thinga-gig to clip conveniently in my desk drawer so I never lose it. [BTW, false story! I’m still looking for one that has all these features. Are you an inventor? Start inventing then…and let me “brand your blog“! haa heee…]

Well, My Two Boys is just getting up and running but it seems to have stuck. Its not witty or all too catchy but it is plain and simple. The URL, Adopt Two Boys tells the rest of the story…My Two Boys are/will be adopted. (I have one now, the second is still “paperwork” but I dream of him everyday.)
The header is what catches people’s eye and several people have commented on it. Its life, they say…two screaming, taunting boys in a grocery store. Yep, thats me.
I think what people really remember though is Pickel, my name. It stands out so I continue to use my nickname as my moniker.

LOVE the header! It looked familiar…was that from iStockphoto? Or did you custom-make it? The characters look familiar…as I’m often searching for great images for my websites, posts, etc.

I really like your “about” section on your sidebar, as well…
“Screaming, Taunting” are definitely not the words to describe a typical grocery adventure with 3 girls…its more like hmmm….”schreeking, giggles”…we are *always* commented on how “I’ve just educated him/her along with my girls”, because I have little chefs-in-the-making, math-wizards, food-experts…our produce man, deli chicks and butcher love watching my 7-year old touch, smell, taste and critique the best foods.
It’s always a “homeschool” adventure with us
Well I’m definitely building Scraps of Mind as a brand. Whenever I refer to my blog in a comment on other people’s blogs or in forums I always state the full name and don’t just say my blog. When I write articles for other blogs, WIKIs or eZineArticles I brand Scraps of Mind there too. Although it is really about me and my style of writing I decided not to build a brand on my online name (karooch) although I have been tempted. If at some point I should decide to sell Scraps of Mind it needs to have its own distinct brand that can be disassociated from me.
