How I Became An EzineArticles.com Platnium Member…U Can 2
My Dear Women Entrepreneurs,
If you’ve never visited Chris Knight’s ezinearticles.com you have to right now. This is the most recommended place to submit and reprint artciles fo your website, ezines, and blogs.
While you’re there, please check out Yours Truly, Ponn Sabra. Within one-hour, I met Chris’s strict content quality-test to give me a big yellow star signifying that I’m a Platinum member.
This is a great honor. Check out his stats from Thursday, Feb. 26th:
2446 Basic Members - 82% 564 Platinum Members - 18%
Read my articles, rank them, offer feedback but most of all use them.
Disclosure: I went into ezinearticles.com very innocently. I knew I had 10 free submissions. With my limited time, my goal was to submit as many at one time, so when I had 9 I knew it was time to share with others. I really didn’t know or think about being “judged”. Now that I know what an honor it is to be a Platinum member with unlimited submission, priority publishing, etc. I do not want any aspiring webite, blog, or ezine publisher to take your submissions lightly. These tips may have been due to the luck that Chris and I working at the same time too. I do not guarantee similar results. Ultimately, your content is what sells!
I won’t get into all the benefits of writing articles, just read Chris’s Top 8 Reasons Why You Should Submit Your Articles To The EzineArticles.com Directory . Most importantly, articles position you as an Expert, and it’s FREE publicity.
Fortunately for me, I’ve been freelance writing over 10 years, so I’m glad I made the cut.
Okay, so here it goes:
1. Make your 10 free submission your best articles. Quality content means:
Orginal, timely, easy-flowing, punchy, snappy, personable, and with your own “Sabra Spunk”. Personality counts.
For example, I sent my timely (vioxx article), original (The meaning of “Ponn”), easy-flowing (referrals vs. recommendations: simple & concise), catch my drift?
Read the “Articles Should/Should Not” lists. Don’t upset or offend the busy guy (Chris).
2. Read Editorial Guideline clearfully, and edit accordingly. The format is like your clothes, this is the first thing Chris sees. Impress him.
3. Find a happy medium. In your resource box you get 1-5 lines. Some have none (dum-dums) and others stuff their 5 sentences (unnecessary showing-off…who cares :-P)
I picked a happy 3. Here’s mine:
- Who am I? Ponn M. Sabra, MPH is the Author of “Empowering Women to Power Network”.
- Call to Action. What the reader should do? To learn more about her book and sign-up for FREE tips, articles and resources, visit her at http://www.empowerwomennow.com/ .
- Why me? Nothing too flashy, too drawn out. Ponn is profiled in Marquis’ Who’s Who of America and Who’s Who of American Women.
4. Give credit where its due. In the submission form you’re asked who refered you. Don’t leave it blank. My answer was EzineQueen
This shows you’re curteous and conscienous.
5. Research where you want to be. I peaked other Platinum members and noticed articles ranged between 600-800 words. Phew…all of mine where right in that range.
While you’re allowed to submit articles between 200-4000 words, I’ll push the limits now. Not in my first 10.
6. Submit articles in a specific order. I started with the most general business and self-improvement/success articles. Then. I submitted my niche articles: business/entrepreneurs, and women’s interest. By the time I submitted #6, all my articles went live and my status changed to Platinum.
It worked for me…I don’t know if Chris noticed, but I did. So, give it a try.
[Interstingly, My Article Report show that my niche articles are getting the most hits. WooHoo…this means people need me and my content
]
7. Keep your copyrights. List it on the bottom. Whenever I see (C) I say “hey, this chick is watching her back”. Even though there are reprint guidelines for every articles submission place like ezinearticles.com putting it in your articles guarantees that the copyright stays with you always.
I can’t speak for Chris if this was a consideration factor; but for me, (C) signifies a more professional writer/author.
8. Maintenance. Now, I have to stay here. Here’s my plan, active submission, recommendations to go there as often as possible, and reading his ezine and autoresponders word-for-word so I apply his tips.
He gave a good one in a Post Script, and he knows I catched it. Pay attention…listen to those doing it.
All of thess action took me seconds to do, and it was well worth it. Most of my hour was dedicated to actually submitting the articles.
Hope this helps! Drop me a note anytime.
