I applaud Jeanette’s efforts as a Latina business woman who empowers young Latinas (and other minority young women) by example. I wholeheartedly believe she is the ideal mentor for young minority women entrepreneurs, and it’s an honor to have her as our Minority and Young Women Entrepreneurs Expert.
Vidagirl.com has been featured on several national television shows, as it targets young Latinas, the fastest growing demographic in the United States. [Another smart move on Jeanette’s part: a wise business woman capitalizes not only on her passion…but on a growing market unseen by others.]
Vidagirl.com is an exciting English-language online magazine celebrating the life, culture, style and spirit of today’s young Latinas. Designed to entertain, educate and inspire with stories relating to today’s generation of Latinas and multicultural readers.
The bi-monthly magazine is a mix of four main sections:
- vida vibe covers the latest in entertainment and music, featuring interviews with Latinas who are making a name for themselves, as well as feature stories relating to each issue’s main editorial topic.
- vida flavor hooks you up with the latest trends on style and decor.
- vida essentials is all about brain candy for your mind, body and soul highlighting health, education, and empowerment.
- mi vida is all about the vidagirl reader’s rants, raves, personal stories, poems, photography, art and opinions with speak out and listen up.
The goal of vidagirl.com is to provide an alternative to the traditional teen magazines while giving Latina and multicultural readers a forum to voice their opinion, share their stories and encourage others.
In this month’s vida essentials, you’ll find that yours truly contributed a little piece on her favorite topic: Power Network!
