Changing the World: One Women Entrepreneur At a Time.

In my Dream Meme post, #8 states:

8. EmpowerWomenNow.com to be the top international women entrepreneur online resource center, offers mentoring and networking, offers virtual remote assisted online business services and application for a fee to women entrepreneurs in 1st world countries, and donate these services to women entrepreneurs in 2nd - 3rd world countries. How? I have many ideas!

First, I’d like to say that I’m feel SO empowered by the great community we have commenting and trackingback to EmpowerWomenNow.com! I love each and every single one of you!

[Sidenote: And, yes…while we upgraded our server, we’re still having technically-difficulties with our Link Directory. This is really urking me, because I desperately want it up and running so I can have one-central hub for ALL women entrepreneurs from across the world showcase their incredible businesses, products, services, and stories!]

OKay…back to Changing the World.

Interestingly enough I’ve developed numerous incredible relationships with budding, lovely, highly-professional, extremely determined, Empowered Women Entrepreneurs from the most remote places on this Earth! I get to show my girls, as I learn new countries and search for them on our wall-world map!

Remember, just 15 days ago, I shared that we’re reaching 33 countries, up from 25 two-weeks earlier? Well, today…we have visitors from 59 countries! It’s so cool to see new country flags popping up on my WebStats poll!

So, I need to share that W.E. (women entrepreneurs) ARE Changing The World here at EmpowerWomenNow.com, and I want to share one incredibly empowering story!

Please give your attention, link-love and share an empowering word of support…I’ve always promised to highlight her efforts soon…and that “soon” is “now”!

Introducing:

Jeanette Gibson of TRADING AS XHENOGA in Cape Town, South Africa.Hand-made brooches from South Africa

1. Let me applaud Jeanette for replying to my “please share a little about yourself” in my welcome email for joining my Empower Me Now Tips eNewsletter. (I haven’t documented the success, but I’d say 20-25 % of new subscribers actually personally reply to me.)

I’m going to share excerpts from our various emails, and would love your comments/recommendations etc. so we can further support Jeanette and her empowering work! (I’ve editted some contents and [added my thoughts throughout])
- I am an entrepreneur.

- Single mother of a six month old baby girl. [God bless her hard-working soul.]

- Run an independent empowerment and skills training program for women (focusing on bused women). [Now, that’s women entrepreneurs empowering women entrepreneurs in desperate situations, huh?]

- We design and manufacture exclusive hand crafted fashion accessories and décor items. Even though our product is exquisite it is a niche market product directed at the cultural creative market. Those who value people and the planet more than they do profit. [Look at the quality–I believe her market is much greater than she states. The pieces are absolutely “exquisite”!]

- (I) Find myself isolated. (I) Find it incredibly difficult to market my product while at the same time being mother, Designer, Product Developer and Production Manager. [The life of a single-mom, solo-entrepreneur is hard enough in the U.S., I can’t even imagine the quality of life issues Jeanette faces each day! She has begun to share…Urgh!]

- Have been browsing the net in an attempt to find markets and marketing opportunities for our products. [Let’s help!]

- And chanced upon your site. Am finding it difficult to make ends meet. Marketing is definitely not my strong point. Am looking for avenues to explore.. Ideas..Assistance.. [She’s a highly-motivated, trainable professional who has taken positive steps forward with whatever I advise. Would love more mentors to share your expertise!]

- Apologies for my tardiness in responding to your mail. [Jeanette’s consistent graciousness and polite-manner goes a longggg way in my book! W.E. (women entrepreneurs) can definitely gain a ton from a bit about kindness, patient and humility…most of you already do ;-) ]

- [Delays in government processing, and paperwork…can take up a ton of one’s energy and time].

- [Fortunately, Jeanette is] keeping the faith that they (South African government) will see the light and come on board to help me to empower many other women. [She’s applying for government assistance/support for her venture].

- [She agrees that,] yes you (Ponn) are absolutely right. The story of empowerment needs to be highlighted. [Don’t you agree?]

- [Jeanette is looking into getting into blogging, as I advised. To] start sharing my trials, tribulations and successes. [Her English is phenomenal, and her story is compelling…what do you think?]

- [Interestingly, Jeanette admits] as far as technical skills are concerned I am easily intimidated.. But will
be sure to give it a try. [I laugh at this because look at her website!? It’s incredible…I’m the computer-dummy I insist!]

It is such a relief to know that you are out there and all I have to do is reach out and ask. [Oh, I love Jeanette, her products, her life-story, her inspiration, her drive…etc. Don’t you!?]

[If you haven’t signed-up yet for my ezine, Jeanette shared this little note:] I am looking forward to receiving the next edition of The Empowerment Equation for Success with which I start each day. [Aww geez. To start her day…wow, I’m humbled! Sign-up now.]Thank you again. The personal contact means the world to me.. [No, thank you Jeanette. I hope this little post is just the beginning of moving you and the women in South Africa towards reaching your goals of Changing The World…One Woman Entrepreneur at a Time!]
