Remember I said application of “simple search engine optimization and marketing techniques” to achieve better rankings in the search engines will help you increase web site traffic...I never said it is “easy”.

Actually, it takes a ton of patience, an open-mind and acceptance that no one will ever “master” its application. Just as the world wide web continues to evolve every single day…so does search engine rankings and how each web page is judged.

Regarding how-to do this: there’s no better place to go then Roseanne’s Marketing Defined Blog. I was actually planning to map out her previous Increase web site traffic tips for you today; so her timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Here are some of my humble thoughts:

Read more!

1) As a Women’s Empowerment Author who writes freely and warmly from the heart, you may ask: how can I apply all the strict search engine optimization techniques outlined in all my online publications without sounding stiff, rigid or unnatural?

I once read a wonderful article (unfortunately I can’t find it in my folders anywhere)…that explained how an author chose to apply some SEO techniques to his work and it gave him good results, then he implemented some more and the results were even better, and little by little he became so addicted to all his traffic (and wilingness to read his stuff) that he couldn’t stop.

a. If I’m writing from the heart and mind…to reach your heart and mind…the words will flow naturally no matter what.

Think about basic English, debate rules and lecturing: you should make your point in the beginning, add to it in the middle content, and stress your point at the end.

Nothing too stiff about that.

b. Emphasizing the most searched upon keyword phrases will only assure W.E. reach more hearts and minds through our writing.

Therefore, it is critical to do your keyword research via:
- Good keyword tools (I just downloaded it, and it is Sweeeet!)
- Digital Point Solutions keyword suggestion tool (Also, free. This is what I use, as it bases its results from Overture and Wordtracker)

[Sidenote: As an book author, I highly recommend Barbara Brabec's World website. I actually negotiated for my book contract for over 3 months by myself with PublishAmerica based on her advice, and we finally agreed upon a mutually beneficial agreement.]

If you haven’t checked out my articles at EzineArticle.com lately, my viewings continue to rise every single day; and I submitted these before I started to really understand SEO/M techniques, let alone implement them.

2) I do plan to edit my previous posts…as editing alittle html code is a much easier and faster way to icrease traffic, then researching, devloping and writing a whole new post.

This will also assure new visitors to my past–equally important–women’s empowerment messages.

3) As if Roseanne was reading my mind…I always wanted to learn how to implement her “Read more” truncated posts, and open another web window so my visitors will always stay with me…even if they click elsewhere.

The reason I like the “Read More” trick the most is becuase visitors can view more post titles (interesting topics) when they come to the present day’s post…grab their attention and intrigued them to stay awhile and read more than one post.

And, by teasing your visitor to click on the “Read More” link, you’re persuading your reader to take action…and this creates a personal connection through interactivity.

4) If I feel challenged and empowered with this useful knowledge…there is NO reason you should feel daunted by this “extra” work.

Just like Wednesday is hump-day…on the third day it’s all downhill. So, invest your time and energy at the beginning until it becomes habit…and, that’s when W.E. (women entrepreneurs) start cruising…

Education can only get you so far…its the empowerment to choose to change (and make changes) that cause you to succeed.

Empowerment for any woman entrepreneur is acting upon your desires…and our desire today is to increase web site traffic via the implementation of search engine optimization and marketing techniques to all our web pages and blog posts.
