Hurricane Katrina – Blog for Relief Weekend & Beyond!

What started off as One-Day Blog for Hurricane Katrina Relief is now a Relief Weekend. This is truly an ingenious way to utilize our blogs to bring awareness, educate and donate our time, money and efforts to support our needy brothers and sisters down South!

Hurricane Katrina: Blog for Relief Weekend: Thursday, September 1 – Monday, September 5. A weekend of blogging focused on raising awareness of and funds for relief efforts to aid those affected by Hurricane Katrina. My chosen charity is American Red Cross (but you can donate to a charity of your choice, and even add one if its not already listed).

Please make a donation by clicking here: The Katrina Relief Contribution Page.

For complete details to see which blogs are involved, how much money has been raised, etc., click here to logon the The Turth Laid Bear Blog. Further details can also be found at the Instapundit.com blog, by clicking here. A campaign that just started yesterday, Thursday, September 1, 2005, it is now 9:00pm EST and we raised over $501,000, have 1491 blogs involved, and 168 charities listed. Please spread the word and get involved! Make any contribution–big or small. Every dollar counts!

May God bless you for your generousity.
