How-To Sk-rt! Digg-ing Just for Women

Update: [Day 2] Their my #2 referrer (home page)! I also, got the highest RSS subscribers in the last 2 days too

[Day 1] Nearly 12-hours after this post went live, all 3 links: Sk-rt.com’s Up & Coming, comment link and Front Page are all listed in my Top 25 referrers to this site! And, they by-passed some mighty-well-established, long-standing, referrers too! And, because my target market are ‘women entrepreneurs’ I’ve seen a *very nice* increase in ezine and RSS subscribers, and page views! So…these sk-rt chicks are sticking around for the long-haul baby! Not, like any other social networking/bookmarking site I’ve seen to date! “Impressed” is a HUGE understatement!

Sk-rt.com – From Start-Up to Success!

First of all…what is it!?

Plain and simple, sk*rt is the female version of Digg. sk*rt is the place to find and/or link to anything and everything on the Web that you’d like to share with other women. If sk*rt users like what you submit, they’ll vote for it. The more votes, the more likely your link will make it to the front page. Links on the front page are seen by everybody and get lots of love. The front page content is ever-changing and always cool.

Of course, no one person can keep track of every cool thing out there. So sk*rt users bring the content. Vote for the content. Determine what’s good and what’s bad. sk*rt works to make sure you don’t miss any of the good stuff.

And, well…I’m hooked!

I’ve been there over 2-hours now, building my network, voting, commenting, and making suggestions to the developers (hey, ~~man~~ woman…they just launched and I LOVE it that much, that I totally want them to rock this web and be the first social media/networking/bookmarking site for every online woman!).

Anyways, as the YouTube video, submitting a webpage is timely, and I couldn’t install my bookmarklet…this is definitely an area to improve. For user-ease and convenience.

I haven’t figured the Top User category. From what I can tell, this is not the “Top User” list, its the database in numeric-alphabetical order of all their users…maybe this category needs to be better defined or renamed.

In the past week, I had 3 online woman business owners, asking if I’ve heard of Sk-rt.com. While my Profile will show I registered back in June, I didn’t do anything about it.

I knew it was a woman’s community…and everyone knows “Power Networker Ponn” has been all around with Our Social Media/Bookmarking/Networking Challenge….of course, I also cater to women…so “What’s my thoughts/opinions?” They all asked!

Here’s my answer: Sk-rt.com Rocks! The Founding Chicks are SO way up my alley! They are truly Empowered Women Entrepreneurs who know how to Act when the time was right and the need was calling!

I *will* be *very* active with Sk-rt.com…probably 2nd to my beloved StumbleUpon, only because of the convenience of the StumbleUpon ToolBar!

Given that I network primarily online for business, and online business colleagues contacted me…I’d really love Sk-rt.com to consider a “business” or “internet” category aside from “World Wise” which combines news, ideas, and internet.
