Toledo, Ohio (February 25, 2005) – FREE Six-Step Report now available online to help enlightened women entrepreneurs achieve their goals and prevent daily stress.
Ponn Sabra, Women’s Empowerment Author conducted a Women’s Success Survey during three Toledo Business Moms Expos in November and December 2004. Significant findings showed that women entrepreneurs:
· Chose faith most often to define success,
· Stated that time prevented them from achieving their personal goals (having time for themselves, exercise & spend with family), and professional goals (to build their business), and
· Their biggest fear was being alone.
While lack of time continues to prohibit many people from reaching their personal and professional goals, it’s important to recognize that stress is a more serious problem for women than men. Several factors appear to magnify the impact of stress on women[1]. A recent Roper Starch Worldwide survey of 30,000 people between the ages of 13 and 65 in 30 countries showed that nearly one in four mothers who work full-time and have children under 13 feel stress almost every day.
By not prioritizing themselves, women entrepreneurs may not be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle because stress can be a side effect of a serious illness or disease[2], such as heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver, and suicide[3]. Sabra empathizes with the typical over-committed, over-exhausted, over-worked working moms because she lived this life until she was bed-ridden from a horrible car accident in July 2004. Sabra believes her accident was a divine act of God because this immediate interruption to her unhealthy lifestyle allowed her to refocus her physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She built a sense of women’s empowerment and promotes it as the ability to put oneself first. In doing so, women can live as happier and healthier moms, wives, business owners, etc.
Sabra’s upcoming book Empowering Women to Power Network, PublishAmerica, Summer 2005, details the need for women to build a power network with mentors and supportive people. It is difficult for multi-tasking and over-stressed women to ask for help and delegate effectively. Yet, utilizing your power network is absolutely necessary to manage time wisely for a healthy lifestyle and positive business growth.
Self-empowerment and building a power network are only two of the six steps to achieve a women entrepreneur’s goals.
