Have a System, Build an Online Business You Can Be Proud Of.

So, how can I bring more traffic, more clients, more residual (affiliate) income, more venture partners, with such limited time that I can postpone and reject interviews each and every week…Although, I have a disabling partial paralysis of my hands, and major daily fatigue?
Remember I just ventured back online in January 2007 with a goal to write half-hour a day…saw immediate fruits from my labor (mainly I was refocused and happy again), that I increased it a bit…then, I started making consistent moula, and my increased traffic was addicted. And, the community in the blogosphere is SO dynamic now, the relationships rekindled and formed is Power Networker Ponn’s dream haven! But, if I can’t take care of many aspects of my personal life fully yet…how, can I build a profitable online business?
So, here’s the kicker: “I work an average 20 hours a week” (and not all of it online)!?
The Secret: My Time Management System.
I literally break down every business duty/responsibility into 5 attainable and measurable sections broken into 4-hour-blocks:
- Business management. This includes my daily, weekly, monthly and annual goal-setting and review, business journaling, overseeing my virtual Assistant and Interns, business correspondence, review testing and tracking reports and statistics and adjusting goals and systems accordingly, assuring my present goals are aligned to meet my annual goals, assure more automation and residual income opportunities to account for my health limitations and personal lifestyle, etc., Don’t forget Education & Empowerment!
- Service-based*. For money coming in right now. I freelance write, ghostwrite, and self-syndicate my women entrepreneurs’ column.
- Product Development. For long-term residual income. Book projects, and building my information product line with ereports, ezine, ebooks, audios, etc.
- Internet marketing. Marketing techniques: Link building, articles submission and distribution, blog posts, niche market research, online press releases, guests on podcasts, internet talk radio and virtual conferences, build this resource center, utilize my writing skills to build my online brand and platform, and combine affiliate marketing methods where appropriate (more residual income opportunities) etc.,
- Powerful Networking/Building Venture Partnerships. For business growth: emails, comments/trackbacks, phone calls with JV’s (Joint Venture partners). Expand my reach to women entrepreneurs worldwide. Research niche market, and seek opportunities to become a Expert Panelist, Guest Speaker, Guest Blogger, etc.
Together these 5 sections equal 20 hours per week. Of course, I do more or less depending on the week.
I’ve been doing less lately as my health is wavering…but the quality of my work-hours have seen dramatic strides in my rankings, search engine position, and the high-quality online exposure specific to my target market of women entrepreneurs…so in essence I have nothing to complain about.
It’s all about working wisely–and not merely working hard.
Fortunately, I have my health as a big watchdog, my girls to express their unhappiness when poor health affects my physical make-up, and my husbands’ disappointment in my priorities when I lose touch of My Life–my #1 goal is Life alone.
I’m blessed to have a household to keep me on schedule and accountable to working minimum hours, so I have to adhere to the 5 sections above to assure high-quality growth online.
Give my Time Management System a whirl…or share your systems below. Too busy to type everything out, just trackback, or share a link above. The More Secrets to Our Successes W.E. (women entrepreneurs) share…the more room for success to be spread!
