Since my website/blog/server was just down for at least 5 hours…I’ll make this important post short and sweet!

Part III: Online Press Release versus Pay Per Click Campaigns

Listed below are the Top Reasons Why an Optimized Online Press Release (Specifically, one $200 PRWeb.com press release) is Better Than A Pay Per Click Campaign, based on my research, case studies, etc.

Additional testimonials are welcomed in the comments below…and I’m sure this post will shock many of you…especially die-hard Pay Per Click Campaigners. No, I’ve never used, nor needed to Pay Per Click campaign. I know too many horror stories, and a bunch of success stories…but, given my (and my clients’) huge success with Our free $200 PRWeb.com Press Release…you will never see EmpowerWomenNow.com on the sidebar of Sponsored Ads.

Online Press Releases results in the Natural Search Engine versus Sponsored Ads, which have better click through rates

Cheaper option, one-time $200 PRWeb.com press release have been more effective than a consistent $200 Pay Per Click monthly campaign option

Faster, nearly immediate traffic affects from an Online Press Release rather than watch-and-wait Pay Per Click results

Long-lasting affect of one Online Press Releases lives forever on the web, while Pay Per Click Campaign is good only the day(s) you pay for, hence no long-term affect

Online Press Releases increase your website/blog Google PageRank, since it’s a static page with viral marketing affect, that Pay Per Click can NOT do at all!

Online Press Release can optimize your website/blog with anchor texts for link-backs of your personal choice…try that with Pay Per Click…oh, wait: You Can’t!

Online Press Release is a static page that you can link to on your website/blog creating a “conversational” and connect-the-dots between the producers and the end-user your targeted audience.

Online Press Release has a syndication RSS feed attached that you can distribute to others to publish, or put on your website/blog for others to publish…or even better: publishers “chose” to subscribe to your feed themselves. Wow…talk about targeted audience staying in touch with you! You better have great ad copy and landing page copy to create a fraction of this success with a Pay Per Click Campaign.

Online Press Release is an optimal communication tool with bloggers! Trackbacks allowing you to connect readers directly to your blog, other bloggers can connect to your blog or press release, and well…Trackbacks just rock! You’ll see where, who, and how often your online press release is picked up…of course with live links embedded, watch your search engine ranking go up baby! What’s Pay Per Click doing for you again???

Online Press Releases is optimized for social bookmarking sites, social media and networking is on fire baby! And, Online Press Releases allow you to get bookmarked, saved, shared and distributed to your community of friends and/or networks, such as delicious, digg, etc. Pay per what’s the other option?

Online Press Releases have detailed statistical packages that allow you to track and test keywords and phrases, titles, images, quotables, etc. therefore you can update and edit if it doesn’t meet your needs and/or expectations…yay, you can edit and update Pay Per Click campaigns to change a word or 2…all for what!? A one-time shot in traffic!?

NOT worth my efforts!

I very interested in your thoughts, comments, and opinions about this subject.

Ready to Apply? Click Here Right Now!

With great joy and excitement, I’m ready to share the news of the week…actually the news of the year!

So, what has been keeping me hush-hush all week?

I’ve been working behind the scenes with MediaJump Quick Links, Ask.com Search Partner with QuickLinks, as we Partner to bring to You the Best Online Affiliate Program the web has yet to see!

Ready for this? I’m putting everything on the line here! I’m ready to draw havoc, controversy, curiosity! I want the Online Buzzzz to burn up the wires of my network because I want every visitor to read and sign-up, refer this to others, and make this post goes Viral–Baby!

I believe MediaJump QuickLinks has positioned itself to be a Top Contender for the #1 position in Contextual Link Advertising! With the various customization options, the ability to choose one’s own targeted keywords and keyword phrases, excellent personalized customer service, and unique profit-sharing affiliate program MediaJump QuickLinks is focusing on the Web Publisher and the Ultimate End User: You–the Web Visitor, rather than selfishly promoting itself as the Advertiser.

However, I’m sure you’re wondering exactly what this is? There are several ways to set it up where it is out of the way and most people don’t realize they are ads. Its great information resource. Here’s an “obvious” sample:

Already making TONS of money with Google Adsense!?

Great! You can potentially double (if not more) your online profits, because you can run MediaJump QuickLinks, *and* web publishers *are* making equal or greater profits with MediaJump QuickLinks without losing profits from Google Adsense! [Case study, available upon request]

So, here are the juicy details:

WHO:

MediaJump QuickLinks is dynamically generated content showing related search terms from content tags, keywords are updated automatically from across a network of advertisers to increase relevancy; which can be displayed alongside Google Adsense.

By displaying the “Related Search” anchor text keyword links, You are seen as a Resource Leader, Helper, Guide, Advisor, Mentor, who is giving Your Readers the information that They want to read, learn more, etc. You get to pick your own keywords and phrases that best match Your website/blog’s demographics and You cater to Their needs!

Here are just a few of the Top Features I believe positions MediaJump QuickLinks as a great complement and/or alternative to Google Adsense are:

Keyword and Keyword Phrase Selection (not content driven), [Hey, with targeted anchor text, I'm guessing, it has to help search engine rankings some...in my humble non-technie opinion ]

MediaJump QuickLinks can be seen by the web reader as a Helpful Resource “Powered by Ask.com” rather than an obvious Advertisement “Ads by Google”,

Complete Customization of the Related Search design and format, such as

The number of links to display (from 2 to 30+),

Title of “Related Search” can be edited to fit the content of your webpage, such as “More Resources”, “Topics of Interest”, etc.,

Horizontal or vertical link display, and

Colors, and much more.

Links open up to another page which has proven to receive better click through rates,

Excellent personalized customer service, in which every single website owner/blogger will be personally reviewed, and

Incredible affiliate program, in which the Publisher has the option of becoming a Partner who simply displays the Related Links, or may chose to become a Reseller who recruits Publisher/Partners underneath them; while gaining a share of each Partner’s monthly profits (a percentage taken from MediaJump, not the Partners or Resellers’ profits).

I’m told it’s ‘easy-to-implement’, since I introduced Amanda to this program, she’s taking care of all the cool details for me [Yay, it's not that pretty right now, but we're working on it...for a great example of how "pretty" it can be, see Amanda's site, the right-hand column, right below an ad, is "More Information".]

Fortunately, my recent post “My Plugins, Your Plugins, Let’s Find the Best Plugins Together” got some GREAT feedback from my affiliate marketing colleagues, conversational marketing buddies, and networking expert bloggers who have far greater traffic statistics, RSS feed subscribers, search engine rankings, and make much more money online than I do…so, I’m *totally* following their lead and advice.

In addition to everything on “My List” and “My Wish List”, we’re (actually Amanda is) feverishly working to followAndy Beard of Blog Search Engine Performance, Wordpress, Niche Marketing, Affiliate Marketing Tips and Social Media with Original Opinion and Loads of Attitude and Dan and Jennifer of Ask Dan and Jennifer detailed instructions, recommendations, and commentary why WE (yes, You too) should use the following plugins and more!

Important note: If you “are on Yahoo Hosting, they CANNOT edit their .htaccess file without crashing their blog. Yahoo doesn’t allow customers access or editing rights to the .htaccess file, which is rather silly as they are a WordPress “partner” and WP regularly requires this!!  PS – yes, I learned this little tidbit the hard way. ) Thanks Wendy for sharing this *very* important note.

WordPress Plugins for More Traffic, a More Active Community, and Make More Money

I. First Thing To-Do:

YOU MUST UPGRADE TO WORDPRES 2.2

It is 100% vital that anyone upgrades who is running 2.1.x.

II. Tagging plugin:
Use Ultimate Tag Warrior for tags. Tags are very important, since tag pages rank very well in natural search engine results. So after you get this configured, be sure to display the tags for a post under that particular post, and have them link to those tag pages (i.e. NOT to Technorati or elsewhere).

III. Feedburner Plugin:

Ponn you should use the Feedburner redirect plugin.

Currently your blog has the atom feed showing by default on auto discovery, which isn’t good for your subscriber numbers because everyone signs up to a feed not tracked by Feedburner.

Definitely install the Feedburner plugin – Feedburner provides great stats on your feed readreship. As an added bonus, as soon as you install it, it’ll redirect all your current subscribers who are on your blog’s own atom feed, and get them all pulling on that shiny new Feedburner feed.

IV. Related Posts:
4 options:
1.) Simple code to show related posts if you use UTW

If you are using UTW, it is not recommended to use Wasabi

1a.) Adding UTW Related Posts (or Wasabi Related Posts) to feeds

2.) Great plugin to have – at the end of the article, people are typically ready to digest more similar info, so it’s a great way to keep them hooked on your site. Here’s the WASABI “related posts” plugin is the most popular and it works fine, even with UTW.

2a.) Definitely add “related posts” to your feed, it’s a great way to engage people in your site even if they don’t like the particular item they’re ready, or they just want more.

3.) There are also related posts plugins based upon Jeromes Keywords (which we think is now “Simple Tagging”)

4.) Semiologic also has various related posts plugins that are based on auto collected keywords from Yahoo API

V. Random Posts:
2 options:

1.) You can also get a “random posts” plugin from WASABI which is kinda nice. Again, good to find previously written and buried posts. More activity there means better rankings for those posts in the search engines. Yumm.

2.) Another option is the Tumbleweed Plugin
It highlights random posts that didn’t receive a lot of attention especially when you first started your blog.

If it works, great, if it doesn’t, maybe it will be fixed in the future version…

VI. Latest Comments:
This is great to feature latest comments in your sidebar, thus getting yet more comments and visibility to possibly old posts. You can get it at Brian’s Latest Comments.

VII. Most Popular Posts:

Interesting commentary to consider (phew…one less plugin):

It was recommended that I stay away from this. These plugins add a lot of overhead and the data doesn’t mean much in my case. It works for blogs that don’t promote, but you promote your content just like we do.

Thus a post will become popular not because people like it, but because we choose to spend effort promoting it. We went back and forth with our friend Everton Blair on this topic, and he came to the same conclusion. So we deactivated and no longer use these plugins.

VIII. Sitemaps:

Sitemaps are crucial for search engines and also for people to browse around. But mainly for search engines to find all your buried posts.
For a quick example, see what we’re doing, at the very bottom of our site – http://www.AskDanAndJennifer.com
3-Steps:

1.) First, the HTML sitemap page. This is not a plugin, but Chris Pearson (pearsonified.com) has a great page template that auto-generates your sitemap. A good thing.

2.) In fact, you’ll want to be sure to also get the Google Sitemap Plugin (dependent on UTW) .

3.) Then, also get the Google XML Sitemap Plugin, which auto-generates a sitemap in Google sitemap format every time you post. Very cool.

MSN, Yahoo, and Ask.com have agreed on a common sitemaps format, so they’ll automatically look for the location of your sitemaps file in your robots file and then they’ll download it. Very cool.

So, AFTER you have a sitemap in place and working (and you can download the sitemap yourself), add this sitemaps directive to your robots.txt file (with your sitemaps path of course).

User-agent: *
Sitemap: http://www.askdanandjennifer.com/sitemap.xml

IX. Robots.txt/Htaccess file

2 options:

1.) The Ultimate WordPress Htaccess File?

This actually does www to no www. You can just drop it in and it should work. [Read Andy's post carefully!]2.) www and non-www domain redirect

You might also modify your htaccess file, to redirect any path on your site which goes to “domain.com” to “www.domain.com” (or vice versa).
That way search engines don’t count those as 2 different sites. Here’s our example:
# redirect domain.com to www.domain.com
RewriteCond %{HTTP_Host} ^askdanandjennifer.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.askdanandjennifer.com/$1 [R=301,L]

X. Still can’t get the Translation Plugin to work…nor the RSS feed right for Seth Godin’s plugin…any more advice anyone? anyone else?

Okay, now…this should keep us all busy. Let me know how this one-post of plugins helps you and your WordPress blog out in the comments…I’ll be sure to keep you posted!

As one of my self-assigned projects, I’m researching Article Submission <strike>Sites</strike> Services.

Article-hut.com versus SubmitYourArticle.com or iSnare.com versus ArticleMarketer.com?
Who won? By a land-slide:

Major tip: Use your blog URL not your homepage (if different than you blog’s URL) like I was doing. Thanks Michelle for sharing your research on Technorati!

<strike>SubmitYourArticle.com</strike>

iSnare.com and ArticleMarketer.com!

Here’s what I found in my research, the Pros & Cons–if you will.

Article-Hut.com

1. Never heard of it/them; and article submission is one of my most beloved internet marketing techniques: CON.

2. Here’s general stats: Alexa ranking ~ 154,ooo, PageRank 4, in business (or had the website since) November 2005…hmm: NEUTRAL.

3. Check out their list of article directories/websites they submit to here, and have *not* heard of many of these! they don’t even have the top 3 article directory sites listed! Major CON.

4. Pricing: $29.99 for submission of one-article to 300-400 sites (so they say). Couldn’t find any guarantees, email confirmations, check lists to see where they were “really” getting sent. Bad, bad CON!

5. On top of that they have certain “specials” for their one-site itself, such as for an extra $5/month your article will be featured on their homepage. But, as I can see there’s one one-paragraph of an article on their home page…the same article all day. So, I don’t get it!? Sell one space for the whole month and that’s it.

Okay…I think you got my drift without going to anymore depressing details.

SubmitYourArticle.com

(I’m keeping my one-month subscription, then canceling. Thankfully, I did the research for you, huh?)

1. I’ve known about them for years and have colleagues who successfully have been using and promoting their services during all this time. PRO.

2. Alexa ranking ~21,000, Google PageRank: 4, been in business since October 2003. Better: PRO.

3. Highly reputable list of article submission sites and directories, including the top 3 article directories. Yippee! PRO.

4. Pricing: $32.00 per month for 8 articles to be submitted within the month!

There’s email notification when an article is released, you get your own RSS feed URL for that article and submitted on their site for publication, there’s a Free option for a ArticleLeverage software that allows you to adjust headlines, content and re-work the article so you could potentially have up to 5 different versions of one article with only ~20 minutes extra of work–it’s way cool! I just tried it for the first time and look forward to the results. [After 2 edits of articles already published and circulated to my Top 3 article directories...they finally got submitted]

5. There are many more PROs that I can list, but rather hear it from myself, just hop over now and start submitting.

Other important information regarding how powerful article submission to article directories sites:

a. My Top 3 internet marketing techniques (because of link backs, online branding, and expert positioning) are:

- article submissions to article directories,

- online press release distribution, and

- blogging.

b. As a blogger, you can easily re-word, revise, and edit your top blogposts and change them into articles. To submit an article to an article directory, the word count ranges from 350-2000 words. The ideal size is 500-800 words/article.

Read my EzineArticle.com endorsement here.

c. I will keep you posted on the stats generated by articles submitted through SubmitYourArticles.com

I can say it’s a killer savings to hiring my VA for $25/hour to submit 1-6 article to my top 3 websites, and 3 niche websites. I can’t recall what she’s able to do in one-hour.

On the high-end if she submits 6 articles to 6 websites in one-hour for $25 I’d only guarantee 36 link-backs.

While they’re all sent to article distribution centers and chances are great for PageRank, visibility, and pick-up by bloggers, website owners/publishers, etc. 36 does not compare to the hundreds of sites for 8 articles!

On the low-end of submitting 8 articles to only 100 article directories, for $37 I’d gurantee at least 800 link-backs. With the same exposure, PageRank ability, and visibility, since they submit to the top 3 article distribution centers and much more!

Do the math–there’s NO comparison!

Oh, and wait it gets better–SubmitYourArticle.com has a great 35% affiliate program with 1st and 2nd-tier programs. Sign-up today!

iSnare.com versus ArticleMarketer.com? Both!

Vince of VinceCordic.com shared two more interesting article submission services. While I did not detail each service as the above ones here’s my quick run-down:

isnare.com

PageRank 6, Alexa ranking 9,259, been online since August 2004. PRO-better than SubmitYourArticles.com

A unique article distribution service that sends your articles to over 40,000 website publishers/editors seeking unique content and to over 150 article distribution websites. This would be great exposure for more targeted marketing to niche websites! PRO-better than SubmitYourArticles.com

They base their program on a per credit program for the number of articles you want to submit to each month. As detailed below: PRO-cheaper than SubmitYourArticles.com

Article Distribution Credit Packages

Price	Number of Credits / Number of Articles to Distribute
$10	5 Article Distribution Credits (distribute 5 articles)
$18	10 (+2 bonus) Article Distribution Credits (distribute 12 articles )[This is what I'm doing!]
$38	25 (+3 bonus) Article Distribution Credits (distribute 28 articles )
$49	40 (+5 bonus) Article Distribution Credits (distribute 45 articles )
$71	65 (+10 bonus) Article Distribution Credits (distribute 75 articles )
$100	100 (+15 bonus) Article Distribution Credits (distribute 115 articles )
Platinum	Distribute 200+ articles per month with lots of benefits for $59.95/mo. recurring. [This is what Vince does.]

What’s cool is they have a iSnare Referral Program – Earn Free Distribution Credits! So we can gain credits for our referrals, to at least try the services. I signed-up for at least $10 to give them a whirl.

ArticleMarketer.com

(for long-term investment–if you have the money now! Cheapest with the farthest potential reach, traffic, and link-backs)

Google PageRank 5, Alexa ranking 8,898, online since May 2005! Wowser–I had *no* idea how young they were! PRO-better than SubmitYourArticles.com

They distribute to 2 of 3 top favorite sites, and a host of other highly-reputatble ones I actually know about. PRO-equal to SubmitYourArticles.com

They describe their unique services on one single page, so just hop over and take a look here. PRO-better than SubmitYourArticles.com

Here are their program choices PRO-cheaper than SubmitYourArticles.com:

Tremendous Exposure – 3 MONTHS of UNLIMITED DISTRIBUTION. Subscribe now and distribute an Unlimited Number of Articles to the Complete List of Editors & Publishers for Three Months – $79.99 per quarter

Long Lasting Exposure – UNLIMITED ARTICLES – TWO Full Years. Subscribe now and submit as many articles as you like to the Complete List of Editors & Publishers over the course of a full year – only $199.99 per year (and for a limited time, your second year is FREE). [Ponn: This is what I'm highly-considering, but <strike>I'm waiting for Vince's thoughts and experiences first</strike>. He has the next level. The thing holding <strike>me back right now is, </strike><strike>there's not a great (none actually) refund guarantee.] </strike>

Everlasting Exposure – UNLIMITED ARTICLES – Lifetime (BEST VALUE) Subscribe now and distribute as many articles as you like to the Complete List of Editors & Publishers for a lifetime – for a single payment of $499.99 [This is what Vince does].

Now, that I conducted the research, its time to turn-it-over to my Virtual Assistants, to apply, test and track our results and report back to you with our findings. I know, it’ll be positive!

By the way, I’m so glad Wendy decided to have this Mastermind project. This was on my To-Do List…almost like forever…and with a little shove, I got it done in one-day! Phew…Please share what you think about this post below. Is this what you were expecting? If you’re new to the whole idea of article submission look again at this post here. Now, to project #2.

Want to Do-It-Yourself? Here’s a Updated List of Article Directories to submit to yourself. Yay, my Top 2 remain the Top2. But, IdeaMarketer.com (always in the Top 3) dropped dramatically. Notice, iSnare.com is way up there too!

Please note: We are having such an AWESOME response! So, I really do not know how long this will last. We had no idea the great response we’d receive. So, my advice is sign-up now, and share this with every online entrepreneur you know.

PRWeb.com FREE $200 Press Release Offer Frequently Asked Questions:

1. I did everything you said, $200 is not credited to my account, where’s my coupon code?

You must attend the New User Orientation Webinar. At the end, Mario will share his contact information, you email him and he’ll give you the coupon code within 24-hours. There was some delays for the first week of registrants, but that is all taken care of.

2. Where else can I learn about Online Publicity/Public Relations?

Please search my Category: Publicity/Public Relations archives.

3. I attended the Webinar, will I receive the coupon code soon, I want to send out my press release now?

Did you contact Mario? His email is mario<at>emediawire<dot>com.

4. In the Webinar do I need to “phone” in? Or can I use my computer?

You can phone in with a landline. I recommend, and other international participants have successfully used Skype.com to call from their computer at the same time as the Webinar.

5. I know nothing about PRWeb.com or press releases. What do I do?

a. Read my Publicity/Public Relations category archives and follow the links.

b. Sign-up now for this offer and attend the Webinar. You will literally learn everything you need to know about Online Search Engine Optimized Press Release Distribution, with the services only PRWeb.com offers. Mario speaks to all novices, but even Public Relations Professionals (paid PR colleagues of mine) have found this Webinar to be extremely informative, and educational.

6. Is this offer for Real? WHY is it free? What do I really have to pay?

Yes, it is free. You will not have to pay a cent to participate, not even the $10 donation to use their services. $200 covers that and more. It’s free to subscribers of my Empower Me Now eNewsletter, and who actively complete PRWeb.com’s Webinar.

7. Is this only for women?

NO.

8. This is such a great offer, I have no idea what to use this one press release for?

Mario, Joe (the President), all of PRWeb.com and I highly-recommend that you focus your very first press release on you target market’s keyword phrase. We recommend highlighting one keyword phrase per press release. Click here for the best keyword search tool to help you get started.

For example, my first press release was “international women entrepreneurs”.

9. I don’t have time, but I want to participate?

Have a staff member attend the Webinar and contact me to write the press release, my Virtual Assistant I have special just for this offer (stated in the P.S. of the original post).

10. What if I’m already registered to use PRWeb.com?

In the directions, there’s side-notes for those who already use the services.

I have updated the original post to answer most, if not all of these questions. It is critical that you (a) follow the directions verbatim, and (b) read the testimonials of Webinar graduates to have best understanding of the entire process.

I will not re-address anything in the previous post, so if you want the Rule/Directions click the link above.

Although my previous post listed numerous posts specific to Online Public Relations(PR)/Press Release distribution centers, and placing PRWeb.com as my #1 choice. I just found a more detailed Review of the top Online News Release Distribution Centers. Steve outlines “why” Online PR is different than regular PR because it targets your ideal client by putting “the release in front of consumers”.

This survey of 792 past customers say that PRWeb.com is *easy* to use.

Here’s answers to some questions/concerns/issues we’ve been faced with since the release of this news this Thursday.

1. No, this is *not* a one-time deal. PRWeb.com will have at least 50-minimum slots opened *per* week. each Webinar can host up to 25 members in one-class. There were 2 classes scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday.

Due to the wonderful response, PRWeb.com just opened another class on Wednesday. It is the responsibility of the member to check the days and times of the Webinar to assure you get registered in a timely fashion.

Simply, put…the sooner you register the better!

2. Testing and Tracking.

Front-end: We are trying are very best to track results. Hence, you *need* to follow the directions verbatim to get your free coupon code. You need to forward the ‘registration approval email’ to the emailbox, not your registration into PRWeb.com

Back-end: You will learn how-to view your statistics daily from your press release in the Webinar.

We definitely would like to develop case studies and testimonials for our offer/program and hopefully have you advocate PRWeb.com’s services and EmpowerWomenNow.com’s association with them.

That’s why there’s a special email-list dedicated to those who actually registered for the class.

3. No, there is *no* minimum donation, for your participation in this offer.

4. Gender-issues.

As a matter of clarification, I am a woman entrepreneur and I write from a woman entrepreneur’s perspective, and my target market is women entrepreneurs.

Nonetheless, my book, column, blog, etc. has a huge and loyal following by males who appreciate my view-point. Even my best-selling “Empowering Women to Power Network” book, received incredible testimonials from best-selling male networking authors, who applaud my efforts to share a woman’s perspective to networking itself. I’m often told it helps males understand how and why women work a certain way or the other.

PRWeb.com and I have a long-standing incredible working relationship, and they’ve always believed in my foremost charge that we must “empower others with education and access to tips, tools and resources”.

They, nor I, (and it is stated in the disclosure) are prohibiting males from participating. In my opening paragraph I stated “any online entrepreneur”.

Given that women entrepreneurs still have less resources available to them, I chose to cheer and motivate women to get on the band-wagon.

Unfortunately, throughout my journeys since this offer started (and I have even commented on other blogs) about why men read my post and quickly sign-up. Whereas, I found women, read, go, come back, read again…sign-up or don’t sign-up at all. This has completely got me dumb-founded!

Also, I see that women who have large lists or blogs, also signed-up but didn’t share the news, which was always perplexing…honestly, I was saddened by this fact. Maybe it is poor timely.

My own ezine subscribers, the majority being women–a teeny, tiny percentage of them took advantage of this offer! Having personal relationships with many of my clients, I even personally emailed them to remind, recommend and *push* them to register…”Today is *the* day” I prodded.

I know my campaign is *not* the top of everyone’s mind…but, this is FREE *HUGE* Online Publicity/Search Engine Optimization for Your Business…why wait?

On the other hand, men visitors to my blog, or new members of my less-than-a-week-old MyBlogLog, BlogCatalogue, BumpZee’s groups, all jumped in registered, and posted on their blogs or emailed colleagues.

Why!?

Was it poor timing?

To those who signed-up what was your made *you* register?

For those who are still sitting, stewing on the idea…why have you not registered?

Until late Friday night, men filled the majority of the rooms…now, they make up 62% of the rooms. Which is getting more equal. But, are women visiting more in the weekends? I know my highest-traffic days are Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday…but this Thursday I broke ALL records.

I’m so perplexed…will you help me understand?

5. Heart-warmed Thanks. To those helping to spread the news.

Interestingly, I’m still trying to find out “Who” StumbledUpon me?

I didn’t and can’t find any records of it…and since Thursday (never before then), my #1 referrer to my blog that day–is still today is StumbleUpon.com

Dear Nameless Supporter, Thank you! Your link-love is taking my website/blog to new levels. I’m getting teary-eyed just thinking about your anonymous kindness. I can’t express my appreciation. But, I hope to one-day repay you Stumbling-Upon my post!

Many thanks to:

Search Engine Optimization/SEO for Online Women Entrepreneurs Part 15: Image Optimizations.

While I just learned how-to put images here on WordPress blog late last week…this is a perfect way to traffic to our blogs…not just because people have a ‘pretty visual’ to look at within a post; but people actually search the web for images!

Like dah! I knew that…whenever I wanted a picture/image of so-and-so, and run a search.

Here’s all the details at Chris’s Personified blog .

What’s ever SO cool about adding images to WordPress, is that all the details needed to optimize the embedded images (the necessary html codes) are nicely positioned in adding an image in one pop-up box of questions–and size defaults itself!

So, here are a few things I learned:

1. While I love my neat cartoon-characters, I will also look for great original images from my personal photo stock, and use “real-life” photos, that will be expressive of my blogpost, as well as an image title someone on the web may be searching for.

2. I will start from this day forward, and not go back…as my time would be better used. But, then agian, I only have one-week’s worth of images to optimize, any thoughts?

3. I’ll look at my stats specific to my image posts and non-image posts…should I have an image on every post? Any thoughts?

4. I need to learn how to make little unique badges, or images, like for these SEO Tips Marathons…hmm…

Always learning, so please share below.
