Young women entrepreneurs technology innovation business contest
Apply for the Startup Jumpstart Women 2.0 Napkin Business Challenge right now!
Women 2.0 connects like-minded, motivated young women in the Silicon Valley to swap energy, ideas, and experiences with each other.
We promote the collaboration and growth of women in entrepreneurship, technology, and business and provide opportunities for young women to interact with successful women from a broad spectrum of industries.
Women 2.0 invites you to submit your business idea on a paper napkin no larger than 7×7 inches. Put it down, mark it up, and propose to us your most innovative solution, an emerging technology, a way to save the world, a way to become rich! We want you to launch your new business idea! Submit as many business ideas on napkins as you can and want. There’s nothing to lose and everything to gain!
“Bling for your Blog” (as they say)
Women 2.0 Napkin Business Challenge Eligibility and Rules
The business plan must represent the original work of members of the team. You can submit as many business ideas on napkins as you want. You may have a team of up to four individuals. At least half of the team must be female and at least half of the team must be under 35; else the majority shareholder must be a woman and under 35. This is a Women 2.0 and Entrepreneur27 production after all.
We are accepting business ideas that are in concept stage or in beta launch only. The competition is for new, independent ventures in the seed, start-up, or early stage. Generally excluded are the following: buy-outs, expansions of existing companies, real estate syndications, tax shelters, franchises, licensing agreements for distribution in a different geographical area, and spin-outs from existing corporations. As if you’d be silly enough to submit that anyway.
They have some powerful Sponsors, and an incredible line-up for their judging panel! For more details, click here.
W.E. (women entrepreneurs) at EmpowerWomenNow.com are especially empowered by the four founding mothers of Women 2.0. Their bio page states that:
Four female regulars at Entrepreneur27 events got together to start a women’s movement in the Web 2.0 frenzy. We don’t believe in paying hundreds of dollars for advice and workshops to help us become better entrepreneurs and business leaders, so we strive to hold events at low or no cost. We understand that half the battle in business is networking well, and since we’re not especially jazzed about the quote unquote old boys clubs, we created Women 2.0 as the new way for emerging young women leaders to network with each other.
Whatever W.E. (women entrepreneurs) at EmpowerWomenNow.com can do to share in your mission–we’re just one-email or comment away!
Way to go-girls!
Since our founder is 34 years-young, this is the first and only year to submit individually, so please keep an eye-out-for an envelope filled with napkins. Were on napkin #3!
